Microsoft, the tech giant that's been around longer than most of us, is dropping a cool $4.8 billion on Italy. Not for pizza or pasta, mind you, but for AI. Artificial Intelligence. The same stuff that's been promising to take over the world since the 80s. AI in Italy: A Pasta-Powered Revolution Now, I'm not quite sure what's going on in Italy that's so AI-worthy, but I'm guessing it's something to do with the pizza. Maybe they've figured out how to make a pizza that can solve differential equations or write sonnets. Or maybe they're just really good at playing chess. Anyway, Microsoft's plan is to build a massive data center in northern Italy. Think of it as a giant brain for the Mediterranean.
